When I was in hs someone told me about this and I laughed. Until I noticed how true this was.

A mix of the two. I kinda carry them to the side but up higher.

When I was in middle school, I held it the "feminine" way. But now in high school, everything goes in my book. Rarely ever do I have to carry anything -- and if I do, of course, it is in the "feminine" style. Though it's really not feminine in the first place.
