Based on wikipedia and other discography sources listed by release will confuse many that wasn't around during that era. It will seem like Can't Hold Us was his break out hit, and if he re-releases Wing$ that will make more confusion if that was to break out as well. Thrift Shop will forever seem like a closing to the era. Do yall think this will confuse the generations of later time?
Maybe, it is kind of weird. But if they look at the chart positions it will be clear that Thrift Shop was the real first single, then Can't Hold Us, Same Love etc.

Has anyone else ever had such a weird start, its very interesting?
No. It's clear he didn't expect to have the kind of chart success he's having and after Thrift Shop did well, he realized the stronger single choices to follow it were previous singles that didn't get much attention at first.
Technically Thrift Shop was the last song released on the album as a single and the others were just re-releases.

It's because he doesn't have a major label backing him. He's been releasing singles and building a fanbase for a long time. Now that Thrift Shop happened, he has the momentum needed to relaunch old singles for a more mainstream audience.
