Netherlands DESTROY Lana Del Rey + tour
Dutch media and concert goers are destroying Lana Del Rey, her singing, and her tour.
Quote:

They point out she focused all her energy on the people in the front row + didn't focus on singing.. She did a lot of hugging/signing autographs etc during the show, while not perforaing songs.. Hence they say there was a lack of songs, especially in the first part of the show. Also, her singing wasn't that good and the band murdered the instrumentals of her songs... They say the show was more about hysteria than music
In the comment section there are a lot of people that were really disappointed by the show and who swear to never go to one of her shows again

I don't know what to think about this.. a friend of mine went to the Amsterdam show and said she enjoyed every second of the concert, also that Lana sounded great and delivered a great performance.
Of course it's always subjective how people feel about something like a live performance, but people all over Europe have loved this tour, and I've also seen her on it and couldn't find anything off about her voice or stage presence. Maybe they were just looking for a reason to trash her.

I agree, it's always a personal opinion, I have no idea because I wasn't there, but I was actually really surprised by this as well. It's good that her fans weren't let down, that's the most important thing cuz they are the ones that buy the tickets
Also, I guess it's still very new to her to be so successful in countries such as the Netherlands? Might explain why she was so focused on the fans (which is really lovely tbh, but she might just have to save that for after the show )

That's disappointing, but I'm sure it's not actually as bad as that makes it seem. Lana will grow as a performer, she''s still new to the industry.

You must have been reading Jemuel DaSilva's reviews, the BTW Ball was very well received by real critics.

I agree. Lana seems generally well received here actually.

I haven't read a lot of reviews about the tour but everyone I've seen on here post about it so far loved it, so I guess the fans are very pleased with it, which is great indeed
When I saw her, she went down to the barrier during the first song (Cola) and then again after she finished the last song. It did not interrupt the concert or take away anything from the experience for the people who weren't in the front and couldn't interact with her. It's not like we were waiting there for long amounts of time while she tended to the front row. Unless she did something different in Amsterdam, they are just exaggerating I thought it was really sweet of her to meet some of the fans during/immediately after the performance, because it probably would not have been possible any other way and it's obvious that she loves mingling with the fans and vice versa. It did not affect the concert or her performance, though.
