Is this a song for a new album?

I ask the same thing. It could've been such a great era had it been executed properly. Better Than I Know Myself is a great song but not necessarily lead single material.

Indeed but still, Naked Love, Pop That Lock, Cuckoo and Shady could've been such great singles.
RCA ****ed up again, like always.
Oh well, he did get that #1 so I guess that makes it better for him...

The main reason why the album era failed was the single choices. BTIKM is a good song but it' isn't single material, let alone lead single material.

But the reason why both BTIKM and Never Close My Eyes were singles 1 and 2 was because they were produced by Dr. Luke and it's obvious that he made that one of his conditions in his contract with RCA.

Adam said Trespassing is a concept album and the title-track really introduces the album and there were much better single choices like Trespassing, Cuckoo, Shady, Never Close My Eyes and Outlaws Of Love which would've been a great choices.

It should've been:

Buzz track - BTIKM
1st single - Trespassing
2nd single - Cuckoo
3rd single - Shady
4th single - Never Close My Eyes
5th single - Pop That Lock
6th and final single - Outlaws Of Love

He worked with Oligee (Bonnie McKee's boyfriend) and herself, Lester Mendez, Pharrell Williams, who did a lot of funky-sounding songs. It was a brilliant pop album and one of the best albums of the year and it was mishandled badly.

The production is great, not fond of the lyrics.

Kind of a boring song, but it's alright. It might grow on me.
