Hey, guys! My computer crashed a while ago, so I've been using a laptop. I have an LP1 USB Port, a Dell laptop, and a Lexmark printer. Does anyone know how I can print documents using this printer? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Did it come with a CD? If so, just insert the Lexmark CD and install the printer? Maybe there is an easier way but that's the way I know. You could go to the Lexmark site or google Lexmark to find some drivers to be able to print from that printer.

Yeah, a CD should come with it. Install that and it should work when you print something out. If not, you should read the directions if you're doing anything wrong.

However, if you don't have an installation CD with the printer or can't find it, try hooking the printer to the laptop anyway and see if it takes you through the steps to add new hardware and to do a test print. On some items, the computer can work with it without needing a CD, but if it asks for a CD or specific drivers do as Ke suggested and check out the Lexmark website for downloads.

When I hooked up my computer, it installed it automatically without a disc. So do what Adora stated above. I have a Lexmark. It all depends on the computer you have and type of printer also. Oh and I forgot, I have a laptop, not a computer. .
