Even though BOY is one of 2005's best music videos, I don't think so either. If she has any chance of winning, it might be for female video and that's all. But then again, I don't find some of this year's VMA nominations to be credible at all, especially when it comes to Shakira's *****d Hips Don't Lie. I also don't respect how they changed the categories this year. Last year's VMAs were better handled than this year. I'll just catch highlights and performances of the show on MTV Overdrive.
We all knew that Amerie wasn't going to win, but each of the other three had at least 3 hits to back up their nominations with!!! I don't see any female artist this year with 3 hits?
I think she has a good chance of winning. If she beat Mariah Carey who has supposedly had the biggest comeback or something, why cant she beat Christina or Madonna? Her album has sold like 5.6 million or something just in the US.
I'm glad that BTHE didn't get nominated for anything. If it did, I'd want her to lose and punch my TV if she won. Now that its not nominated, I can just not care (which is better than wanting her to lose).
