I guess you're right - they did say it stays true to the play.
I'm glad it's not all bright and colorful. It's not a Nancy Meyers movie. Almodovaresque colors wouldn't really work either. And well, this IS about a messed up Southern family.

I'm only concerned about the choice of music. They better not screw this up and set the wrong tone over it.
