Lauryn Hill has been going through a bit of a rough patch lately, what with her recent jailsentence. due to tax issues. Many supporters of hers stepped up and sent letters to the judge on her behalf, and she took to her Tumblr to express appreciation to all of them.
We know who Stevie Wonder and Alicia Keys are, but the rest of the list consists of supporters from Ft. Worth to Beijing, it must be nice to know that concern for her is worldwide.

That's sweet but sis didn't pay her taxes. If she was normal folk she'd be headed to the pen too. She's not being picked on. It'd be unfair if she didn't serve time.

lauryn paid most of her taxes - $970,000 out of a million (while she hasn't dropped a record in over ten years!) she had the intention of paying the rest, get informed before talking ****. if it was your fave, y'all would be making up stupid excuses. calling her celeb status  look at Lilo, her ass has yet to be fully locked up but she's getting the treatment cause she's white. lauryn's black and her celeb status didn't do **** about her getting locked up for tax evasion. y'all are pressed as **** just because she got support, lame!
anyways, kudos to the folks writing the letters tho, and lauryn as always appreciating the love.

Sorry, but she didn't pay her taxes. Write letters in defense of those Average Joes and Janes out there who get sent away for not following the law. Celebrities are so entitled and privileged.
