Disgusting, especially when you take into account the unbelievable wealth inequality we have in the US (and I'm assuming the UK as well) and how it has gotten progressively worse over the past 30 years, including during the first two years of the recent economic 'recovery', where the richest Americans saw their wealth increase by 23% (And remember that these people were already rich, a 23% increase in wealth equates to MILLIONS of more dollars in their pockets) while 93% of the country actually saw their wealth decrease.
