has anyone had problems with limewire? for example i try to search for linkin park. and then when i download the file i want, it doesnt download but a new browser opens and it goes to this website. this doesnt happen for all my searches but for some reason the more specific i am with my searches the less this happens. anyone know whats wrong?

I've been having the same problem lately, mainly whenever I'm looking for the big-mainstream artists' mp3s. - (Aka Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ciara, Evanescence) But what I do is just go to the next link/selection until I see something downloading. It seems the more popular/most downloaded links are connected to that website. I've been thinking about upgrading the program, but I want to wait until I get a new computer.
limewire is not so good. i myself used to use it for around two or three years. but most of the files i downloaded ended up being virusus. you can use ares. its the best for music and concerts.
its your choice i was just giving you an alternative.
I've seen this problem as well, as Travis mentioned, it occurs with more mainstream artists, but the problem is simply solved. Just scroll down to a track that only has a couple of users...that usually works.
