Figured I'd clarify some info (I'm a current Brown student):
Sunil had been missing already for about a month prior to the Boston Marathon--we all got an email from our campus safety department in mid-March saying a Brown student had been missing for a few days. From what I understand, he would've been a senior this year but had requested time off, evidently to deal with personal issues. He left his apartment very early one morning without his wallet, phone etc. and apparently left a note suggesting the worst. His family and some other people in the area spent the last few weeks searching literally everywhere for him, until his body was found on Tuesday at India Point Park.
So, he was presumed to have committed suicide for awhile already (not murdered due to the bombing fiasco). Of course I'm still completely and utterly disgusted with the scum on Reddit who started the false accusations about him (and the irresponsible media outlets that picked the story up)--I can't imagine how much more difficult that must've made all of this for his family and friends. It's a prime example of racial profiling... "someone is 'brown,' surely he must be the terrorist!" and mob mentality. Despicable.
So sad to hear about this this morning, I was really holding out on the small bit of hope he would be found alive

Just earlier this week there was "lend a hand" campaign on campus to show support
