Catching up with Avril Lavigne again in LA, Rick Campanelli spoke with the punk rock princess about shooting the video for her new single, Here’s To Never Growing Up, and of course her upcoming wedding to Nickelback front man Chad Kroeger.
“So the video for Here’s to Never Growing Up is at prom,” Avril told us. “It’s a pretty simple concept, but visually it’s quite exciting, because I’m wearing a crazy dress and like a crown.”
Believe it or not, the singer-songwriter, who’s turning 30 next year, has never been to prom. “That’s why I was so stoked on the video,” she tells Rick. “And then we kind of go down memory lane a little bit… I kind of dress like I did on the Complicated video.”
Rumours are circulating from her band members that she is doing a full out transformation to the Let Go version of Avril, complete with the brown hair and everything!

I think she looks the same that she did 10 years ago, in a good way (youthful). Honestly, if you asked a stranger, they'd probably tell you that these pictures were taken around the same time. Don't get me wrong, I love Avril (I'm Canadian of course), but I ain't here for her never growing up.
