The 40-Year-Old Virgin star Steve Carell will have the leading role in the Bruce Almighty sequel, previously conceived for Jim Carrey.
The new movie, directed by Tom Shadyac, will take the news anchor character Evan Baxter, played by Carrel in the original film, and put him on an Almighty-inspired quest to build an ark in preparation for a great flood.
The production of the movie that will have Morgan Freeman as God is scheduled to begin early next year.
Neither Jim Carrey, nor Jennifer Aniston is to reprise their roles.

i dunno....even though Carrell has a huge fanbase, I have a feeling that this will flop, unless an AWESOME script and cast comes along with it. We'll see! Any thoughts?
