I found this in an article on Yahoo! about Kellie getting her record contract:

[Kellie's] first single should hit country radio stations sometime in September and her debut album will follow Nov. 14, the same release date that has been set for Katharine McPhee and Idol winner Taylor Hicks' freshman efforts.

This marks the first time Idol finalists have shared a release date.

Ugly. Hicks and McPhee at the same time...I decided to ditch my tradition with buying the AI winner's single or CD. I'll be buying Chris's masterpiece instead!

Should be interesting to see what happens with so many "idols" hitting within the same time frame or a few weeks apart.

i highly doubt chris's cd will be a masterpiece.

I may get Katharine's CD. But Taylors? Ugh. No thanks.
