'Beauty Queen' is about 18% Kate Bush, 56% Marina and 26% Florence, which is a combination you'd be a dickhead to argue with.
It's a song about some important lyrical topics like why society is obsessed with hot people (answer: they are nice to look at) and how beauty is only skin deep (except actually some hot people are really funny and charismatic as well which complicates things a bit but there you go).
This single is out next month and follows Foxes' guest spot on Zedd's 'Clarity'; further features on tracks by Fall Out Boy and Rudimental are on their way but Foxes' own tunes are exceptional enough not to be overshadowed by collaborations with other acts. For instance if you missed another really great tune called 'The Unknown' when it popped up online a few weeks ago it really is very good and can be heard here.
Sweeeet. I liked that demo of The Unknown a lot and I really like this song too. I've actually liked all of the songs that she's put out at this point! I NEED AN ALBUM.
