Well, both albums were critically acclaimed (somehow) and they're probably their besta lbums... But they did not smash the charts. But let's foget about metacritic, sales and things like that. Which one do you like the most? Personally I don't like Rihanna's music very much, but Rated R is such a good album filled with power, but I'll go with 4 as it is my favourite B album.

4 and it's not even close. 4 is more musical. It's better vocally, lyrically, melodically, any "cally" you can think of.

I really love both, but "4" just because Bey's my fave, and I literally don't skip a single song apart from maybe Rather Die Young... It's just an incredible album to me.

Both are really good but Rated R is a perfect 10 and 4 is a 9 because of Run the World and Best I Never Had bringing it down.

I prefer 4 - the album as a whole is good. I only use Cold Case Love & Rude Boy on Rated R.

Definitely Rated R.

I definitely listen to both from beginning to end because they're perfect. Couldn't choose.
