Which artists if any do you prefer to hear live rather than their studio recordings? I personally think that Gavin Degraw sounds way better live, and so does Stacie Orrico.

Stacie Orrico is great live, she's done some amazing acoustics, more to life <3333 stuck <3333

I prefer Maneater live as well, Nelly's vocals arent fantastic but the live instrumental sound is so much better.

Beyonce sounds live much better.

This is a good topic. I guess Korn, nine inch nails, and Marilyn Manson sound really great live, but I'm not sure if I prefer it over the albums.

alanis morissette sings brilliantly live. i have the unplugged cd and it's just perfect

Jesse McCartney. I was blown away by the Live Beautiful Soul Tour cd. I prefer his Live stuff more than his original cd. He has an amazing voice for live shows.

I guess you could add Kelly Clarkson & Mary J. Blige, too, but the first two are just, AWESOME.

I think that sometimes when artists sing live they don't feel as restricted so they sing freely. They don't have studio people breathing down their necks telling them how to sing.
