I guess that people generally are going to care less and less about the musicians, team and producers behind a track, and just about the track itself. They don't care to get emotionally invested in an artist/a band any more and to support them, they will mostly take music as granted and just THERE, not really appreciate or even care at all for the persons behind it, and just move on from one song to the next. It's going to become increasingly difficult to STAY relevant after having had a hit.
Maybe that's exaggerating, but it's not improbable imo.
PS.:
This would be bad in my opinion, because it would mean that the majority of musicians won't be able to earn a living any more with their chosen profession if they can't keep an audience. Which would mean that there will be even less room for experimentation and long-period artistic vision and planning than there already is.
