Teenage pop dynamo Jadagrace, who was discovered by LMFAO’s Redfoo, debut single, “Run Dat Back,” is now available on iTunes. The track, which earned Jadagrace major buzz on Radio Disney, is the first single from Jadagrace’s upcoming debut album for Epic Records. She is currently working with veteran record executive Kerry Gordy and Epic’s Tricky Stewart, who has produced tracks for Beyoncé and Justin Bieber, among many others. R&B legend Smokey Robinson has been mentoring Jadagrace in the studio and has lent his vocal and production talents to the project as well.
Jadagrace shows off her performing chops in the dance-driven video for “Run Dat Back,” which features her own choreography and an appearance by LMFAO’s Redfoo.
The track was featured on Now 42 (US version) as a bonus track after winning a public vote with 82% of the votes. That then got Epic Records interested, and they signed her.
"Run Dat Back" has been sent out to US radio, and has already been playlisted by Radio Disney.
Whilst the video isn't particularly age-appropriate (she's only 13), the tune is a bop. Epic Records want to establish her as a pop-rapper similar to Nicki Minaj, but younger with a more accessible sound for the younger market.
And the backlash that will happen because of her outfit in this. Like seriously, a 13 year old should not be wearing ****ing fishnets and a bra in a music video. What is wrong with people.
I thought about it, looked up what some blogs are saying, and realise she's just a kid having fun and emulating her fave. I don't think it's a big deal.
Turns out Jadagrace played the little girl in the last Terminator movie, which is where I remember her from. It was a mostly-silent role, but she was very good!!
