Her new single is "Get Up", which is included on the soundtrack to the motion picture Step Up, released in August 2006. She is working on her sophomore album which will be released in the summer of 2006 and involves producers Jazze Pha, Rodney Jerkins and Sean Garrett. Ciara also participated in a charity single for the victims of Hurricane Katrina, written and produced by Michael Jackson. The single, entitled "I Have This Dream", is also to be released sometime in 2006.

I just don't see how Ciara's album is going to be released this summer. She's not doing any promo, no date has been set and she's not yet given us any sample of what's yet to come. Get Up isn't on her album (it probably will be) but it's not going to be the song that showcases her album.

I just don't know how in hell could her album be released this summer, it's too soon for such little promo, and hype for that matter. Hype for Get Up is not for her album, it's for Step Up, the soundtrack.

For example, people only like this new Field Mob song because of Ciara's parts. She MAKES the song. Even her 2nd single, "1,2 Step." Missy Elliott's part is forgettable and extremely short. Ciara MADE that song as well. Petey Pablo & Chamillionaire aren't even big names so I doubt they attract listeners.

The only case that it could be true in is in Ciara's "Oh." Ludacris's rap is SICK. Everybody loves his solo. Unfortunately, Ludacris doesn't always work to his full potential.
