But I really, really hope that Somewhere Over the Rainbow is nominated, as it is the best vocal performance by a female this year. But the Grammys never nominated the Idols for their first singles. Ugh.

I don't feel like predicting any more right now, but let me say a few things:
- Mary J will DOMINATE the RnB categories. LMAO RnB Female should just be inscribed to her now, as her only competition either features rapping (Janet, Beyonce) or flopped (Heather Headley).
- It will be interesting to see how the Rap field looks without Mr. West around. I predict a lot of bad nominations. (Chamillioniare maybe?)

Also, unless they release NEW material before September 31st, keep in mind that Kelly, Kanye and Mariah are all ineligible.

don't forget about us is elligble because it was on the re-release. any singles on the relrelease are up for grabs.

technically the rerelease can be nominated for album of the year, not that it will.

But, I believe DFAU was sent to radio September 29th - two days BEFORE the eligiblity period was over. Thus, it was eligible last year. Which makes the Pop Vocal nomination for ILT that much more puzzling.

And, if Maneater is released here before Sep 31st, do we think it could pull a HG and get into Record and Pop Vocal? I'm saying yes.

If any Idol single was to be nominated, it would have to be Kat's rendition of SOTR. Everybody is raving about it and now that David Foster is producing the studio version, it MUST be considered as a potential nominee.

I highly doubt Speech impediment Brown (who can't sing) would get nods over Ne-yo. Ne-yo is an artist, Speech isn't.

Whether its for Love, You've Changed, or something off her next album, Keyshia Cole is pretty much guaranteed to be nominated for any female R&B category.

Its impossible for Breakaway to be nominated for any awards right?

Well anyways I know Christina Aguilera is going to be nominated so is Madonna. Maybe Rihanna best new artist. Mary J Blidge will be nominated, and if Kelly releases a single or her album before the grammy I think it will get nominated.

I predict that Rihanna will be nominated for something....not sure if she will win though

- seeing as though both Beyonce and Christina Aguilera are releasing records this year, they are gonna top the nomionation lists

- I see Rihanna, and Ne-yo being top picks for the Best New Artist Award

but the album, rereleased on november 15th is the first time it appeared on a cd. so that was its techinical release.

Shakira deserves something....... the album is her best produced and her best lyrics..... with a lot of poetic licenece..... i hope she gets soemthing

The Dixie Chicks are the only shoo-ins so far, I think. I can't imagine they'll come up empty handed in the major categories.
