"The Minute" is the first single from her upcoming second album "Songs From A Blackbird".
The single was released on March 11, 2013 in Norway.
The album will be released on April 8, 2013 (No tracklist, nor album art available yet)
The single is yet to be released worlwide, here's a sample of the song.
This is her first album in 8 years (the first was "Here I Am" worlwide in 2005 and "Set Me Free" in America in 2007 (Which is a re-release of Here I Am with a new tracklist and new songs)
In 2010 she was about to release an album called "Nevermore" but after many delays she decided to not release it and start over again. For that album she released 2 singles ("Flesh & Bone" and "Found Someone" both released digitally only in Norway), the album was suppoused to have a darker, rocker and edgier sound.
Raven became a panelist judge on the Norwegian version of the talent show The X Factor, which delayed the release of her new album several times. In late 2011, Raven announced that she couldn't work well with fellow songwriters and producers of the album, nor did she agree with its sound. In March 2012, Raven released a new stand-alone single called "Colors Turn to Grey" and stated in October 2012 that she is working on material for a new album planned for a 2013 release.
Raven also starred the second season of Norwegian reality TV show Hver gang vi møtes, alongside other Norwegian music artists Morten Abel, Ole Paus, Anita Skorgan, Magnus Grønneberg, Kurt Nilsen and Lene Marlin.
She didn't chose to work with a big label this time but she is bringing out her album at her own label called "Blackbird", for Marion this means less time pressure and more freedom. The songs are written with Lene Marlin, Thom Hell, Aleksander With, Simone Larsen, Lisa Miskovsky and Børge Fjordheim.
