Are animated movies acting?
So does voicing a character in a movie count as acting? Should people be able to use it as a receipt to prove somebody's a successful/good actress?

It's acting but clearly it's a whole different form.
I don't think stans of actors should use animated movies as receipts when discussing box office, awards, and critical acclaim.

Kinda. I feel like it'd be much harder to do voice acting that you'd think.

It's a much easier form of acting. You are basically doing half the work.

If the VA is mixed in with 'real' acting.

voice acting
And it is harder, because you have to express all the emotions without help of body language. Of course there is the animation to do the job.

No, not at all. Two entirely different things, and being good at one does not mean you will necessarily be ANY good at the other.

Yeah, of course.
Some say it's harder because you have to express your mood through your voice, rather than with your body language.
