Known (at least in the Netherlands) singer Anouk is representing the Netherlands during the Eurovision Songcontest this year.

She released the track Birds just a few minutes ago.

She tryna sound like Lana Del Rey. It's a solid song, but you need something instantly catchy for the ESC.

It's good, but there are better songs this year.

I love it even though it will be tough to reach the final with a song like this.

Whut? Anouk her career started way before Lana.. and trust me, no one wants to copy Lana

I think the fact that people like the song, but don't feel it's right for Eurovision could actually make it a winners song, because it's unexpected. However, I don't want to be too enthusiastic. I will be happy if we reach the finals, considering we haven't done so in the last 8 years.

It's great after a few spins, but most people will only hear it once when performed! It's magical though.

We'll see. There's nothing like this right now.

Anouk is our last hope for ESC so she better bring it. I hope she does well. I do think something more like "Good God" or "Woman" would have been more fitting.

this is anouk, this is what she's been feeling lately.
this song was written a few years ago, even before lana would sign her first musical contract.. so if it would sound something like alike.. it would be a pure coincidence.. as some said before.. anouk's career is plenty of musical styles.. she started as much others singing in a band like a background singer, she used to sing tina turner songs, she's an enthusiastic of soul and finally she decided to make an album by her own (her own record label) with the music she wanted.

praise her or critize her.. but she sings her heart out in every song.
and i'm with the statement of that birds ain't a good choice for eurovision, but maybe (just maybe) people all over europe understands and are able of feel what anouk will sing that day, and gets a good position, just to be remembered as the blonde dutchie that made half of europe cry.
