it aired tonight on ABC, i think. It was about her throwing a 3 day party type event honoring african american females who have paved the way for younger generations!

if you seen it, wasn't it awesome? It was so surreal, just seeing all those important, and esteemed african americans come together like that. It was so beautiful... they were so beautiful. DAMN, i wish I was there!

I caught some of it.
That looked nicely orchestrated, but where was Whoopi Goldberg?

Also, I'd like to see something like this for African American Men, and people of other races.

It was great.

Notes:
-As much as I like her music, I felt like punching Alicia Keys in the mouth for being so...???
-The brunch was sick when all the legends were breaking out in song. It was improv which made it even sicker.
-Chaka & Patti Labelle blew everybody away. I loved how they all began attempting to upstage eachother. Damn Mariah, why didn't you give it a go?!
-Freaky bitches: Diana Ross (no surprise) & "Chaka Chaka Chaka Chaka Khan" (you gotta love it!).
-Why wasn't Beyonce invited???
-Was this event only for Blacks and Scientologists??? lol

- yeah, I thought when everybody broke out in song.... I just thought that that was one of those tear jerking moments, lol! Shirley Caesar, damn she has such a powerful, annointed voice!

- I LOVED LOVED LOVED LOVED LOVED Angela Bassat throughout the entire thing! Especially when she was reading that poem on night 2. She was just awesome! So much emotion! I wish I could have seen it all!!!

- Beyonce wasn't there because she was filming Dream Girls!

- I thought Mariah was a little out of place

- The event was dedicate to african americans

I just loved it! It made me that much more proud of being black. It's corny i know. But black people have come SUCH along way. I applaud Oprah for doing this!

Oh, the whole thing was hilarious. I could appreciate it for its value and still find it funny. Ugh, I wish TWOP would do a recap of it.

It was a good show though. Seeing *momentary brainfart* Martin Luther King Jr's widow alive made me sad though. Overall i liked it.
