I think the public overrates MJ more than the Beatles, but both are in general.

Welp, I mean. There was Elvis before The Beatles. But Beatlemania was certainly a new level.

neither of their impacts are overrated are you kidding me, their one of the MOST influential artists of all time and that is FACTS. Now whether or not their music is good is subjective.

But that's not true for The Beatles. It really isn't.

He only has one great album (Thriller), the rest range from good to being 90% crap. Performance wise he had enormous stage presence but his performances were often repetitive and he rarely sang live. Great dancer though and his brilliant moments are AMAZING.
