Nicki Minaj On Launching Acting Career: It “Has To Be The Right Project”

If Nicki Minaj has her way, she’ll be following in the footsteps of many rappers before her by transitioning into acting in the near future. But before that happens, the Young Money femcee is waiting on the “right project” to come her way. She told Page Six on Oscars night:
“I would love to act, it just has to be the right project, the right movie. Nothing stereotypical about a singer.”
Nicki, who as a high school student participated in the drama program at the famed LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in Queens, has taken the first step to launching a career in Hollywood by securing an agent. She told Page Six:
“I have an agent, and we are looking at a couple of scripts, so we’ll see.”
She will be a DAMN good actress, you can tell from her videos and especially that little clip that played before her Roman Holiday Grammys performance.
If she does make a good choice as far as what movies/shows to do, she could EASILY be snatching up awards left and right.
