You guys acting like this is gonna messed up everything, streaming is only 20% and YouTube views are just a part of that 20%. Harlem Shake went straight to #1 because it had a solid week of digital sales and a historic YouTube traffic, actually that's the reason why Billboard decided to launch the new rule this week, if the video is not extremely massive like HS, or gets 20 million views in 3 days like Stay, then it's not gonna do much damage.
And personally, I found that it was a change that needed to happen, I think the majority of the times, Youtube traffic of a song is way more representative than radio airplay with their radio deals/payola, and I think the % that they gave it it's also fair.
