The episode posted a 1.26 W25-54 and scored triple-digit growth versus year ago numbers across key demos (+385% W25-54; +342% total viewers).

I think they are trying to say that from this point last year it rose +324% because 1.3M when Rihanna almost doubled is not something to boast about. What OWN Oprah Winfrey interview did she pull exactly a year ago for comparisons sake, though

And both were hyped weeks before and Rihanna's was announced what a month or 2 prior. Beyoncé's interview literally came out of nowhere and premiered a mere 5 days after being announced with very little promo. Plus it was on a Sat. Next Chapter is usually on Sundays and it went up against the All Star Games. 1.3 million is really great. Plus Jay didn't beat her.
