Saving Jane re-release their album "Girl Next Door' with Universal. The album had sold about 10k independently. But now the album debuted at #2 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. Which means it probably debuted in the Top 200, but failed to make the top 100.
With the single getting massive airplay, being the theme to MTV's Tiara Girls, and now debuting on TRL the album is bound to climb higher. All of this exposure should def. be helping the group.
The album is actually really good. The songs on it aren't really like the single. The album is very mellow, a lot of adult alternative and contemperary. I could see "Happy" being the next single since its most like GND in its sound. "Who's Cryin Now" and "Mary" are very different from the current single, but could also do great on Contemperary radio stations.
I recommend this album if you like Contemperary/Alternative music. I would most compare the singer's voice to a less annoying Alanis Morrisette.
