Vicarious (Tool) will open at #2 on next week's Active/Mainstream Rock chart. It matches the debut or Dani California (Red Hot Chili Peppers) earlier this spring. Only Metallica's St. Anger was able to debut at #1 on this chart. Tool and Metallica are the only artists with 2 top 5 debuts on the chart. On Modern, Tool will debut at #2 also.
I'm so surprised that out of AFI, TBS, and Thursday - AFI is looking to do the best.
Not that it isn't great, but it's definitely the more "pop" of the lot.
TBS is pretty pop too. But still. I'm a bit surprised.
