So, I'd like to come to you, ATRL, and ask where this new Harlem Shake phenomenon originated? All I see in the videos are people shaking idiotically. That's not the Harlem Shake (aka Washing Machine) myself and other members are familiar with.
This is what some of us have grown up with:
Beyoncé and Britney have done the original dance at one point in the earlier '00s, but the dance is decades old.
Anyway, let's discuss.
Oh, and someone point me in the direction of where this new Harlem Shake originated.
Thank you because I cannot understand, all of a sudden it's a new trend when it been out for several years and from the videos I've seen...that's not the Harlem Shake that I know
the current fad is to do with the song's name "harlem shake", not the original dance of the same name although that's probably what inspired the name of the new song to begin with.
