Okay, so if you're on my AIM buddy list and were online a couple of nights ago you probably already know that I have a virus on my computer. My question is, does anyone know how to get rid of the damn thing? I'm having trouble finding my anti-virus software so until I find that I'm a bit screwed. I can get online but I get a massive amount of pop-ups and I have that thing on AIM where it sends a link to people saying to click here to see pictures of me or whatever.

And I don't know if this helps, but currently in my files is a program with the filename "-----pullthetrigga" which I am about 100% sure that I did not download.

Did you try removing some suspious start up items and restarting?

Will, it is a good thing seeing you might have clicked it and gotten it yourself but ultimately it does not matter since it is up to you to click or ignore it.

find your program's folder with your searcher and remove all the files that the folder contains or those who can be eliminated. After should scan your computer and if your anti-virus can find the file, that program will be eliminated easily from your computer, well it always works with me.

I think Ed has it too (at leat yesterday)...
You can get into the registry and try to delete the thing... and see what happens.
