Refer to my avatar.
They own the Brit Grime Indie Rock scene.
And in general, do it way better than The Vines ever will.

All I can recommend you right now is an electronic (more like 60's-70's inspired pop) Indie duo called Bitter:Sweet, I think their debut album "The Mating Game," which came out 2 weeks ago, is really good. Give a listen to their album, especially the songs "The Mating Game", "Dirty Laundry" ( ), "Don't Forget to Breathe", "Overdue" and "Salty Air."

Mute Math sounds pretty good.
Umm these are just random songs..
10 Years - Wasteland (I will continue to ***** them on the boards forever )
Anberlin - Paperthin Hymn
Art of Dying - Get Through This
-- a bit repetitive, but I like it anyways.
Boys Night Out - Medicating
Burn Season - Carry On
Cartel - Runaway
Dark New Day - Pieces
-- kinda souns like Linkin Park.
Emery - So Cold I Could See My Breath
-- heard this on the Christian station ( )
Evans Blue - Cold
Faktion - Take It All Away
-- for those that like a little screaming.
Fightstar - Paint Your Target
-- kinda sounds like Hawthorne Heights (I'm sure that turned off everyone )
Hurt - Rapture
Ok I got carried away.. these are just songs on my playlist that are kinda unheard of. I can keep going but I'll stop.

I guess i'll recommend some stuff while i'm at it..
Rammstein
-- I'm sure plenty of you know who they are, but have some of you taken the time to listen to their music? If you can get past the non-english barrier, then you'll open yourself up to a unique and quite awesome band. Oh, and Reise Reise has become one of my ten favorite albums ever. Check it out, boyees.
The Zutons
-- "Why Won't You Give Me Your Love", in particular. Their debut album is pretty kickass, but "Why Won't You Give Me Your Love"...wow.
Morningwood
-- I still can't believe Mikal compared Morningwood to Panic! At The Disco. Two completely different bands.
Hurt
-- This band will either have one hit or several. Keep an eye out on these guys.
The Arcade Fire
-- Funeral is ****ing amazing. If you like music at all, you owe it to yourself to check them out.
Fort Minor
-- Quite a few of you, i'm sure, have heard of Fort Minor(and i'm sure that quite a few of you heard of them through "Where'd You Go"), but have you heard their album, The Rising Tied? Proof positive that Mike Shinoda has talent.

It's the same thing I've heard time & time again. Music is supposed to be heard not read. If the lyrics are amazing, okay, that's great, but the song is very boring. There are just way too many new bands that I find no interest in. When I did become a fan of an up-and-coming band, it was Deadsy, but they were never given a chance because the sound was--get this--UNIQUE! Mainstream rock is afraid of bands such as Deadsy, especially when they're discovered by, oh no, Korn, OMG. Shockingly, Commencement went gold with the very little support it had.
People can shun bands that are doing their own thing while praising the ones that are clones of one another. I'm not stopping anybody from doing that, but something's got to give. A lot of cool bands aren't getting heard because people are stupid. You can only have so many Nickelbacks & Creeds & Fuels to the point where it's just milked dry. Eh, f‘ck it, this is why I don't listen to the radio anymore. Major labels only want accessible post-grunge junk. That's the way it is.
Oh, recommend somebody? scarling, Dead Poetic (new album out during the summer), Showbread (same as DP), Cult of Luna, Econoline Crush (thanks Ke!) That last one isn't around anymore, but they're great.

Lupe Fiasco - Kick Push
- I said it countless times, "Lupe" the next big thing in hip-hop.
Rick Ross - Hustlin'
- the new ghetto anthem.
Theory of a Deadman - Santa Monica
- heard it on Fuse. I'm feelin' it.
Matt Costa - Cold December
- picture Jack Johnson.
Yung Joc - It's Goin' Down
- crazy joint, hip hop fans shouldn't miss out.
Letoya Luckett - Torn
- If you're a R&B fan and have yet to hear this song, I suggest you listen to it immediately.

Fair enough points, but I wouldn't be into the song if it wasn't for the lyrics. It IS nothing we haven't heard before, just like new Three Days Grace is, but I enjoy listening to both. Granted, I like "Rapture" a hell of a lot more...but I think that some bands can take music that has been done before and do it well anyway. There's nothing wrong with that, other than there being fewer unique bands out there.
And damnit, I LIKE Deadsy! Many people don't, but they won't open themselves up to music that is unique because they're too afraid to like something different.

I second this.
Also, if some of you have only heard Where'd You Go, like it or not, the rest of the album kills it. Everyone should download or buy the track "In Stereo" it's one of the best songs I've heard

I'm so happy she's going solo because I really loved her. She was actually like right behind Beyonce as my favorite from the group but Letoya is really good. This song is great too <3
