No disrespect to their music, which might have improved now, but Amy Lee is kind of a poser.

Why? Because she's a girl?

No, because she tries to act hard. Lacuna Coil have a female singer, and I love them; they should be the ones getting the attention instead of Evanescence. That magazine article says Amy Lee would stand in the backyard with Pink Floyd turned up loud...WTF. And then some music she made for that Nardia movie was supposedly "too dark"...my ass. They are a pop version of Lacuna Coil, whom I just mentioned. Evanescence and their buttbuddies Seether can fall the f‘ck off the face of the earth, I've never bought into their boring cliché modern rock garbage and I never will.

Although I have respect for Lacuna Coil, I wouldn't call anything Evanescence & Seether have done "Modern rock cliche garbage", except 'Broken'.

Even if I can't justify as much for Seether, Evanescence's debut album was impressive, and hardly cliche.

Oh, yeah, because Evanescence are sooo hXc extreme symphonic goth "metal"! I'm not saying bigshot Christina Aguilera wannabe singers who sell 6 million copies of their band's debut album can't have rough times in their lives, but, yeah...she always sounds like some fakeass Hot Topic loving 14-year-old poser who constantly says "rock on, dude".

Lacuna Coil don't write formulaic, unoriginal radio-rock songs for the sake of having a hit, maybe that's why you think they suck. Apparently right when I took off that thing that was in my signature for several weeks, people began bitching again because I have something to say that hurts them. Awww.
