I'm really into movies' cinematography right now. Like I'll pay attention more to its camera works than the story. What are some movies you can recommend that have breathtaking cinematography?

Requiem for A Dream (he should have directed Skins)
28 Days Later (for a horror movie, it has a surprisingly striking cinematography)
A Clockwork Orange (well, it's Kubrick so)

All have a great gothic feel to it.

Terrence Malick's movies are very slow and thin plot wise, but the cinematography in all of his films is brilliant.

Rosemary's Baby. It doesn't need bump scenes, ugly monsters or gore to be "scary".
I love the "This is not a dream... THIS IS REALLY HAPPENING!" part.

I agree with 28 Days Later, Inception, and Dark Shadows. Really excellent cinematography.

Not even! It was 100% doc. Great work, but not what I would call cinematography.
Les Mis actually wasn't bad. The DoP wasn't afraid to use wide angles (distortion) and focus in close. Also wasn't afraid of highlights or shadows. It was really cool for the close, harsh, gritty mood in some scenes. Camera work shouldn't be totally polished all the time, especially not in darker films.
