As a stan I will say this nicely, I DO NOT WANT Rihanna for the Superbowl. At least not until she really steps it up performance wise..she is really shaky with uptempo's and her voice really only shines with ballads which wont really benefit her at the Superbowl. Maybe when she improves her performing to the level where she can fully implement choreography into her work and still have good vocals and visuals she can do it.

Agreed, she would also need to clear her schedule for months to prepare for it which we all know she does not do, maybe in a few years but not next year. She most definitely has the catalog of hits for it though.

Rihanna can do it. Did yall forget her AMAS 2010 medley or last years grammys. If she merged those two performances alone it would be better than last night
Rihanna is only just getting there performance wise, though she has a plethora of songs to sing, I don't wanna see some half ass performance of her trolloping up and down/throwing up. I need WHYB/Umbrella/WFL type performances.
I think GaGa after ARTPOP would be a great choice and RiRi has plenty of life in her to tackle the SB in a few years once she's singing and dancing flawlessly. I'm pretty sure she can do it now just fine but chooses not to, so when her head is out of her ass and in the game, i'll be ready to board the Navy Ship HMS FENTY.
I love RiRi and i'm going to see her live (So i'm not hating) but I want it to be the best for her. Personally the way her songs are crafted, with time and practice (and perfect setlist) she'll have the best SB in terms of music/songs.
Gaga would KILL like no other, she has the ambition and vision for those big shows. It'd be INSANE.
As for Rih, she'd have an amazing set-list due to the amount of #1's and memorable hit singles, But.... ( ) she has a long way to go in terms of performing skills.

I agree 100% I love Rih, but what you said is completely true. While she's certainly improved in every aspect of performance, she still doesn't have the vocal ability and stage presence to command the SuperBowl halftime stage in the same way previous big pop acts have. Yet.
I think Rihanna has the potential and the hits but I can wait for 2 years before this happens, besides the fact that the SB won't be putting that many female artists in a row, next year and 2015 will most likely be a male artist and a band. That time can help Rihanna perfect her craft more and we know she's a hard worker so it won't be wasted time.
I don't want Ri to do it because I think she has a very long career ahead of herself, she can do it 2015 or 16 or whenever she decides it's time for a Greatest hits album and tour.
But it'd be good for GaGa she shouldn't be hearing up for her next tour around this time next year.
