So this is my very first thread and I wanted to make it special

Lost Friendships

When I first moved to the U.S. when I was 9 years old, I spoke very little English and I didn't want to go to school to be mocked and made fun of because of my lack of understanding. To cut a very long story short, I was never really mocked (they were a couple of mean kids but they never really targeted me) but I only had one friend, Claudia, and she was very sweet and nice. A year later, my family moved to another state and since then I haven't seen Claudia even though we were "best friends"........so one day, out of the blue, SHE CALLS me! At this point, I haven't talked to Claudia for about 3 years and she suddenly wants to meet up and stuff like that but my parents don't want that and I really didn't either. I don't know what's wrong with me!! She is a sweet person but every time she calls me, I just want to pretend that I'm not here and I just want her to stop calling me and forget me all together. She hasn't called me in about 8 or so months and I'm afraid whenever I see a number that I don't know that it might be her.

What's wrong with me? Why am I such a bitch to the only person that was my friend? Have you guys ever been in this type of situation before? SHARE your stories of a lost friendship please.

I think I'm just ashamed for some unknown reason.

and i don't know.. if she's really your friend and has/had a special place in your heart you should catch up with her
but personally, i think you don't want to because you think it'll go awkward and weird
