I should've brought this up a while ago, but why the hell is she going for 1920's-19??'s, just say super old. i mean damn my grandman was born in the 1920's and died 4 years ago. That proves how bad she'll flop. She'll do good if she has some good material, but if she really is going to make this album so like the old days. *coughs*, flop *coughs*.
I like Christina, but this might not be a good idea. I mean didn't she learn her lessons of going back to the old times with "Tilt Ya Head Back". Someone help her.
Also other big popstars changing their styles:
-Justin Timberlake (wants to sound like Coldplay)
-Jessica Simpson (trying to be a sexy ***** again)
I was disapointed at first. But so what??? She call herself artist, she wants to do what she likes, and right now, she likes to make old style music. What can we do??? All we can do is not buying them if we don't like it. However, we (fans) end up having them anyway. BTW, I don't think she cares so much about the flopping anyway (she should, but she doesn't).
Christina is intelligent enough to make something good even if the songs are inspired by that era.....I don't think she's going completely 20's, 50's...I heard Candy Man and other songs from the new album and they sound good...it's not like you're going to hear exactly something like the songs were in that time....
Said like a true fan. I WANT them to do something out of their typical genre, to become versatile and do something that not many people are doing. All of those listed in the original post are pop, pop, pop. For you to wish a flop upon them without even hearing their efforts shows how much they have you mind in a bind.
