To answer the Mariah Carey question... the fact that she didn't tour is correct. Labels get paid for the selling of an album while artists are only paid for two reasons. Those are writing there own songs (like Mariah does) and live performances. Since MC is the strongest live performer anymore, she opted not to tour. Smart gal!!!
