Does anybody other than me get trippy when taking the recommended dose of cough medicine? I thought I'd ask because it's the cold and flu season. I always do, I don't know why, I always take the recommended dose. Sometimes I also feel like I have a fever after taking it.(like right now ) When I take the pills (for example: corincidin) I usually get REALLY trippy compared to the cough syrup. I make it an effort to only take cough syrup but today I thought it was the best idea to take one because my cough syrup ran out. Does this happen toanyone else? Should I be concerned?

What do you mean by trippy? Some medicines make you drowsy, are you sure it's not that? It will tell you if it does if you read the packet/bottle.

Probably has DXM in it. You can get pretty f-cked on it in its isolated form.

It depends. If "trippy" you mean dizzy or tired, that's normal. I worked at a pharmacy a few years ago and we would always put a sticker on the package to indicate they may feel a little bit weird after taking it.
