Unfortunately, I forsee the voting members of the academy being far more conservative in their tastes. My guesses, in alphabetical order would be:
Comedy
Arrested Develompment
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Desperate Housewives
Entourage
My Name is Earl
The Office (although I can easily see it missing the top ten, unfortunately

)
Scrubs
Two and a Half Men (YUCK)
Weeds
Will and Grace
Drama
24
Big Love (always depend on HBO)
Grey's Anatomy
Huff! (remember last year? Showtime sent out FYCs last month!)
Lost
Rome
Six Feet Under
The Sopranos
The West Wing
I am flummoxed as to what last show will be the last drama. Can UPN rally enough support for Veronica Mars? I think it can for Lead Actress, but I truly believe it has almost no shot in making the top ten. I feel the same way for Battlestar Galatica. I wonder if FX has enough power to get Rescue Me and/or The Shield to the "playoffs", so to speak. If The Book of Daniel lasted (and was better), I would say that it's in safely. But alas, these things were not meant to be.
As for Comedy, I hope upon hope that GG can take its rightful place in the top ten, but I expect nothing. Monk will always have its lead actor slot, but it's on its' last legs in every other category. Can HBO get both shows, and maybe even Extras? Will new shows like Sons & Daughters and The New Adventures of Old Christine manage to come on strong? And what about the shows that were hot at the beginning of the season, like Everybody Hates Chris and How I Met Your Mother?
The biggest show to worry about is Boston Legal. We all thought it was sticking to drama, but then the show became progressively funnier. Then it was nominated in the Comedy field at SAG. But now the show is turning around again to its dramatic side. What should ABC do? I think, because they already have two STRONG dramas, they should send BL to the comedy track. It's a lot funnier than their other big "comedy." If it does get pushed comedy, then I expect it to be in the top ten. Hopefully it'll take out 2.5 Men.
