One of two original jams placed on the re-release, ‘I Would‘ came courtesy of Blake and Da Internz and will arrive months before the former launches his own debut album, via Def Jam/Roc Nation.
Speaking to That Grape Juice.Net, he revealed:
“I was really impressed by his growth vocally and how he executed some of the runs. Dude is definitely growing up. The song speaks about trying to love someone fully and how hard it is when they’re holding on to baggage from a past relationship.
There’s a line in there that says “
you’ve got your flaws, so do I.. Past lovers that made you cry and though I wanna make it right, I just can’t read your mind“. Everyone’s gonna love this one, he’s really grown up.”
Confirmation on Elijah’s work on the release arrive eight months after the release of ‘Believe‘s orignal version, which moved an impressive 1,324,000 units in the US alone by the end of 2012, and spawned the double Platinum single ‘As Long As You Love Me’.
