Okay, not really. But if anyone saw the live performances by Arctic Monkeys last night you know what I mean. This has to be the closest thing to The Beatles our generations have ever seen. Of course only time will tell, but last evening may have been the landmark "change" in music that only comes along every 20-30 years.

where did they perform live?

they played at my university in sunderland, england in october. I hadnt heard of them at that time but the place was sold out, its not big anyways. But what was best was my mates that went said the band queued with everyone pretending to be part of the crowd. One even saw them in the public toilets. Because no one knew what they looked like the band were able to mix with the crowd, so when they went on stage people were shocked that they had spoken to the band during the warm up. I wish i had seen them now, i tried for tickets at their forthcoming Newcastle gig but the tickets were sold out in 20 secs online

I think to compare AM to Beatlemania is a bit much.
But it is rather insane how fast they've grown.
