What are your thoughts on the possibly population-threatning phenomenon known as global warming? Do you think it's not all chocked up to be? Do you think people need to open their eyes to it and make the world cleaner? Discuss.
I believe in it. Winter 2011 we had practically no snow whatsoever and I live in New York. This winter isn't that snowy either. Something's going on here.
In a short sense, global warming is real. And yes, man is contributing in some ways (I was never convinced that man's action was the main problem until now) . There has been a PLETHORA of new research and data this past week that support these assumptions. If you disagree please look at the new research that was released just last week. I read it and it was ALARMING how fast things are changing.
It's so visible right now, that one simply cannot overlook and try make it seem look negligible. My home country(Bangladesh) recently had the worst weather in almost 45 years. It dipped to 7 degree celsius. The scary part is that we had 12 degree celsius here in Canada and it's winter here now.
It's scary and I get disappointed at people laughing it off. I try to control on my part but honestly there needs to be greater initiatives in place.

I think it's really dumb that governments dont want to support rain forests and large amounts of trees. You wonder if some of these politicians took biology and learned about Photosynthesis. Trees are the earth's lungs essentially.
Also it's weird to think that our generation could see a large shift in our climate. Maybe in 30 years there will be warm winters in NY and snow in California and that'll be the norm.
