This is part of an article that was on the Guardian newspaper today (Friday 3rd March 2006) about people who play major roles in helping people win Oscars, yet never seem to get the thanks they deserve. One of them is called Ivana Chubbock who's an acting coach, and helped Halle Berry towards her win for Monster's Ball.
"At the moment, Chubbuck is excited about her work with Beyoncé Knowles for her part in Dreamgirls. "When I was shooting Monster's Ball with Halle Berry, I was telling people, 'Mark my words she's going to be up for an Academy award for this,'" she says. "And I'm saying this about Beyoncé right now. I would be surprised if she's not going to be heralded and given accolades for her performance; she's really just profound in this.""

Im SO HAPPY FOR BEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Duh Byron, everyone knows she's going to be great. I'm predicting her to win for Supporting Actress next year, and I cannot wait!
Do movies that are touted as Oscar worthy this early in the cycle ever get nominated?
Return of the King? The Aviator? Hell, look at this year's frontrunner. Dreamgirls will be better than Chicago, and thus, will make it in. And it might win too!
If he says so...
Her acting wasn't EXTRAORDINARY on "Goldmember", but then again, that wasn't a serious role. Now I'm really looking forward to "Dreamgirls".
i think it will be more of an eminem "8 mile" type of critical acclaim. She will be praised for it, but I don't think it'll be Oscar-worthy...just my prediction.
