Bitter because he lost his girl to Pete seems like the real motivation behind this. However, it is worth it to point out that this stuff seems consistant with what almost everyone with a few brain cells (which is actually not that many people) understand about most people in the biz, in that they're hardly ever good people when hit with sudden success. Believe however much of this you want to I guess.

A majority of the core audience who follows the type of music Pete Wenz and many others put out, have WAY too much time on their hands.

They are taking this guys words so seriously, as if it affects their own life in some way to see Pete Wentz labelled as a sell out.

What exactly did he do that compromised his integrity? Or deprived himself of dignity?

If you call launching a successfull record label, tailoring your band in the right direction to find a larger audience, and so forth, being a "sell out" -> newsflash -> you're a dumbass.

Oh, and by the way, he may be a sleeze bag if what this "best friend" claims is true. But he's not a sell out. He's just one of the many guys who does it (doesn't justify it, but hey, it's the truth)

I think he is more upset that he sold his bestfriend out though, not so much the music. Just that he is a d-bag to his friends and fans.
