You have to wait till the one at the end where she is young, but she TORE IT UP when she was a little girl, why don't she sing like that now?

No surprise here. I always knew Ashanti was an excellent singer. Unfortunately the majority disagreed but I can't blame them. There isn't many songs by Ashanti that'll make you go "wow, she can SANG !!!". There is probably like 5, in all seriousness.

Irv Gotti wanted her to appeal to fans of R&B as well as Hip-Hop. In order to do that, she would just sing over a beat without getting into the "vocal aerobics", therefore making it easier to sing along too. It wasn't exactly a bad idea but he should have known criticism was to have an impact on her career soon, very soon.

A bit more ranting from me...The only reason Ashanti released "Collectables" and barely promoted it was to fulfill her contract so she can leave Murda Inc. She's supposed to have an album out early next year with help from Diddy on the production. I heard she's either joining the regular roster on Def Jam or she signed to Atlantic.

I'm really hoping Ashanti can become a big name in the music biz again. She is so due for a comeback showing.

I hope to God that you are right about Ashanti leaving Murda Inc. They were holding her down for real. I mean, they wouldnt let the girl work with anyone outside of the label. Working with the same people just made this girl get real bland, real quick! Hopefully, Ashanti will find a newer, more fresh sound.... HOPEFULLY

As for her singing, I never really thought she could sing. And quite frankly, those clips didn't change my mind. Her tone is just REALLY ugly to me. It's really annoying. She can't sing to me. At all!!

It's nice, but she still sucks alot. She hasn't really released a quility album since her first album IMO. Chapter 2 was bad, and "Concrete Rose" was bland, and I wont even go after Collectables...
