Pop queen Britney Spears is reportedly all set to fill the "lull" in pop music, and is determined to reclaim her position that she believes hasn't been taken by anyone, ever since she has been away from the world pop music stage.

"It's a huge lull. I haven't seen anybody out there who has had a performance where I'm like, 'That's awesome.' It's been boring. Nothing's been wow to me," The Sun quoted her, as saying.

The 24-year-old pop princess, after undergoing a tough exercise regime of cardio, weights, yoga and pilates, said she craves the spotlight and is eager to get back onstage after a year-and-a-half marriage-and-maternity leave.
"This may sound weird but I miss traveling. I miss the road, seeing different places and being with the dancers and having fun. That feeling of being on the stage, knowing it's your best -I love that," she said.

"I needed a break. I needed to be hungry again. I belong out there. I can do these things," she added.


HAHA... She's so out of it.

Well, lyp-syncing won't exactly pull out "The Wow Factor" either.

LOL...exactly. Also other then Toxic, Britney has never even been know to create really good pop. Mostly **** really.

So Britney has sung a bunch of my favorite pop songs (feel free to judge me as you wish) so I'm looking forward to a new CD from her. In the Zone with a really good album. And I haven't seen too many good pop performances since her last award show. Clarkson's been bringing it but it's different. Britney just has a fire about her that I love. And believe me I'm not want to praise everything she does but she puts on a good show.

It's good to hear that she has the drive back within her. For a minute, it seemed as if though she lost everything that made her so appealing and entertaining to watch on stage.

And as stated above, Britney has been linked to some of the better pop songs of the early Millenium, like Toxic, Oops!..I Did It Again, and even I'm A Slave 4 U.

I was partial to 'In The Zone' - but to fill this "void" in pop music (which btw, Kelly Clarkson and Gwen Stefani gracefully have kept warm for the past year or so) is something I would put past her. She's going to have to come out with something incredible.

The music is very boring, it's been boring times for a while now. I hope she steps up ..

She's right about pop music. Of course.
I'm laughing that she thinks she's different, and that she could fill that void. She use to be the main reference for people when complaining about the state of pop music.

With Christina & Jessica coming back to music this year, i really think Britney will have a hard time going back to the top considering her new trailer trash image the public has of her. Nobody has really ruled the pop scene recently but Christina will have a big comeback in 2006 and Jessica could possibly have a good year musically with the right singles considering her fanbase now. I guess it's like what people said from the start ... whichever one of them comes out first, sells the most.

I'm not insulted in the least. I've been seeing most Britney threads on ATRL and the funny thing is...you seem to be making the most judgements yet seem to know the least about her...especially music wise. Thats all

Eh...I've heard alot of her music, like a few songs. I think i'm allowed to have opinions on it even if people know more about her then I. I just personally don't think she's the one to fill in this "lull". That's all.

The funny thing is Britney haters always complain about her being on the news every time, but they are the ones who are opening threads about her her every day, even if it's only to diss her. I feel sorry for people like that.
Btw, sorry, but anyone who doesn't admit Britney is an amazing performer (better than anyone nowadays on the music scene) is just hating.

I don't know, I don't think any one person could. Music will just change and evolve, new producers and voices etc. New crop of artists would help put some energy into the scene maybe.

Also, pop music that is dominating the charts is pretty bland, but there is still some great pop music out there that is smaller, less popular.

Valid enough but I want you to also see it from my point of view. To me it seemed that everything got pretty quiet and there wasn't much excitement for me and many others when Britney went into hiatus. Many of us got used to having her around and she is an exciting performer and people cannot wait to see what she does next. Kelly, Gwen, and Mariah had a great year last year and I love them to death but in terms of excitement...they pale in comparison to the type of hype and excitement that Britney can create. Who knows maybe with the returh of Christina, Justin and Britney things can change because they pretty much are the huge pop acts with promotions and things tied to them. Maybe things won't change but we will see. Last time Britney came back everyone was pretty excited and I think this time she can do it again. She still has a legion of fans waiting for see what she does next.

Hater. The name "Video Music Awards" may clear your mind about that. No, it probably won't. You're a hater. You certainly think performances like that one Aguilera did in the last Grammy Awards are the good ones.

It's time for some good pop again, that has no rock or hip-hop elements at all. Go Britney!
