Actually, getting around the clear "English ain't my first language" barrier, it's not half-bad. Generic and poorly written, but not much worse than the generic top 40 hits that keep sprouting out everywhere.

English shouldn't be an excuse, Shakira wrote every song from Laundry Service with a dictionary. As of now, the album has sold more than 15 million copies worldwide. Talent is something that's very hard to get.

Who said it was an excuse? I said if you listen to what she says (even though, sometimes, it's difficult to make out) and the beat behind the track, it's not that bad of a pop song. At the very least, there are some indications of melody. Don't drag your stan into an A&B discussion when all someone might do is drag her out.
